This Monday I visited Mount Sinai...hospital and I returned with a precious gift, a new daughter. Thank God she and her mother and older brother are doing great.

Historically, most Jews were born Jewish. Until the 20th century they were Jews by chance not by choice. In this weeks parshah we recieve the Torah! Following Yitro's visit is the giving of the Torah. Before receiving the Torah, the Jewish people were told to prepare for three days and go to the Mikvah. In this week’s Parsha the Jewish people receive the ten commandments.The first set of luchot (tablets) were given with great fanfare, the nation saw the thunder and the mountain was covered in smoke. God personally carved the tablets. Read More
