Said no more counting dollars, We'll be counting stars

In this week's Parsha Moshe compares the Jewish people to stars. How is a human being similar to a giant gaseous ball of light?

One answer Kerry Newman taught me is that the Jews are to be a "light onto the nations". To provide moral guidance to the world is the role of the Jewish people.
