This was a tough weak for the Jewish people. Going through immense struggles in the Holy Land, the Jews as a nation hope, pray and take action to bring peace in the land of our forefathers.

This week we also finish the book of Bamidbar . At the start of this week's parsha the 42 journeys of Bnai Yisroel are enumerated. One reason each journey is mentioned is to show that Hashem was with us at every step of the way.

The  Malbim points out that the 42 journeys correspond to the  42 letter name of G-d.  Hashem is telling us he is with us during all of our journeys.

A man was looking back on his journeys through life as footprints in the sand . He saw that often there were two sets of footprints, his and G-d's . However he noticed that at some points there were only one set of footprints in the sand, these were the most difficult parts of his life.

The man asked G-d how come you were not with me in my times of struggle? G-d responded,  when you saw one set of footprints those were mine, when I carried you.

This week I am praying for the protection of our Jewish brothers and sisters in harms way , Hashem should protect them.

I also join you in your prayer for the protection of our Jewish brothers and sisters. G-d should be there protecting all those in harm's way.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview. I believe in miracles, but not the kind you are thinking of.
