Williams was in a plane that crashed into the 14th Street Bridge over the Potomac River, less than a mile away from the runway. Wading in the water, he passed the lifeline that was offered to him to others rather than take it for himself. He unfortunately drowned that day. Everytime Arland Williams gave the lifeline to another passenger instead of himself he understood what he was risking, a piece of that, a piece of Moses is in every Jew. It is in our origins.
